The Officiant at a Destination Wedding
“Some couples choose to jet away to an exotic or remote locale to celebrate their joining. Whether for economic or creative reasons, when you choose to host your wedding at a destination away from your hometown, family, and friends, chances are the choice of your officiant will become a big question. Many resorts and spas offer complete wedding services, including a licensed marriage officer of the country or state. You can usually have your choice of religious or secular officiant even in remote locations. If you choose to work with a local officiant, I strongly recommend that you develop a rapport with that person as far in advance of your wedding as possible.”
